We would like to congratulate all of our students who took examinations at the school this year, many of whom achieved outstanding results
GCSE results
88% of our students achieved 5 or more GCSE passes at grade A* to C, with 73% of students achieving 5 or more GCSE passes at A* to C including English and Maths. (20% of our students achieved 5 grade A* or A).
Particularly outstanding results were achieved by: Becky Rowlings, Christopher Thomas, Jo Meakin and Andrew Cebula who all achieved 9 or more A* grades! Emily Dance, Alex Hall, Charlotte Butcher, Natalie Price and Heather Fuller also achieved excellent results!
Mrs Staley, headteacher was “delighted that so many of our students achieved such stunning results” and she praised the hard work of students and staff alike, with particular praise for the tremendous achievement of students gaining 5 A*-C GCSE grades including English and Maths, which was one of the best results for Northamptonshire, ranked 3rd in the county. We are delighted with these results which are the best ever for Guilsborough School, and for a non-selective comprehensive school.
David Lomasney, Head of Year 11 in 2008-09, was “immensely proud of his students’ achievement” and believes that by following their individual curriculum choices they have all achieved their full potential. He wished them well for the future.

Year 13 results
A Level results were overall very strong for this year group with 7 students achieving 3 straight As plus, and 2 successful Oxbridge candidates – Laurence Perrett and Sam Hutchinson. Our successful students have now gone onto the university places of their choice.
Our Year 13 students achieved an excellent set of examination results this year, with 46.8% of students achieving grade A or B passes, 70.9% passed at grade C or above, and with 98.7% of students passing their exams. We are delighted that the overall value added score on our ALPs report 2009 places us in the ”outstanding” category for 2007 to 2009.
Head of Sixth Form, John Ditchburn said "Guilsborough's A Level Results remain strong, with 98% pass rate overall. 71% of passes were A-C grades. Our results are classified as "Excellent" in the ALPS independent national analysis of A level performance, which analyses a range of criteria, including value added per entry, average point score per student and the quality of teaching." We are once again delighted with these results and would like to congratulate our students and staff on their wonderful hard work and achievements."
