On Tuesday 9th June, a group of Year 8 students attended the Big Bang STEM Event at the NEC, where they enjoyed an exciting day of discovery and hands-on learning.

The event gave students the opportunity to explore a wide range of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) activities, interactive exhibits and career pathways. Through engaging demonstrations and conversations with industry professionals, students gained valuable insight into how STEM subjects are applied in the real world and the diverse opportunities available within these fields.

Throughout the day, our students demonstrated great enthusiasm, curiosity and engagement, embracing every opportunity to learn and explore. Visits such as these play an important role in broadening horizons, raising aspirations and inspiring the next generation of scientists, engineers, technologists and innovators. We are proud of the positive way our students represented the academy and would like to thank the organisers for delivering such an informative and inspiring event.
