EXAM PREPARATION, revision strategies & intervention timetable

Exam Preparation evening for all Year 11 parents/carers will take place on Tuesday 27 January 2026, 6.30pm – 7.30pm.

Details regarding the Exam Preparation Evening, Revision Strategies Information document and the updated Year 11 Intervention timetable for Term 3 can be accessed via the links below.

The Intervention timetable details the sessions which are available during and after school:

Exam Timetables: Pre-Public Examination (PPE)

Pre-Public Examinations (PPE) are mock examinations in a subject. PPEs provide important feedback to students and identify targets to work on to enable them to secure the best possible grades and outcomes.

At Guilsborough Academy, PPEs take place in the Autumn (November & December), Spring (February & March) and Summer (June) terms. Autumn PPEs involve year 11 and year 13 students. Spring PPEs involve year 11 and year 10 students. Summer PPEs involve year 10 and year 12 students.

In January, we have a PPE results afternoon for year 11. This afternoon supports the importance of PPEs and gives students an insight into an authentic examination results experience.

Summer PPEs support year 10 and year 12 students with their development in a subject. They provide curricular targets for the students to work on over the summer, enabling them to make strong progress in their second year of learning.
