Into the Woods – A Magical Musical Journey at Guilsborough Academy

This year’s school musical, Into the Woods by Stephen Sondheim, was a truly memorable experience for everyone involved. The production showcased the incredible hard work, dedication, and talent of our cast, who brought this enchanting story to life with energy and passion.

A huge thank you goes to all the staff who supported the show behind the scenes, and to our amazing students who took the lead on much of the directing and choreography—your creativity and commitment were inspiring!

The performances were a resounding success, with a special performance for 180 primary school children and another for our entire Year 7 cohort. We are also grateful to everyone who attended the evening shows and helped make them such a wonderful celebration of the arts.

This year, the Hall sparkled with an extra festive touch thanks to Mr Hancock, who organised a beautiful Christmas tree to complement the production’s magical atmosphere.

Finally, we extend heartfelt thanks to all parents for their support—whether it was helping with costumes or picking up students after rehearsals. It has been an absolute pleasure working with these talented young people and watching them flourish on stage.
