We were delighted to welcome The Lewis Foundation into school to present a cheque for an incredible £429.50, raised through our recent fundraising efforts!

This fantastic donation will help to fund an extra 119 gift packs for adult cancer patients in hospital.

We are incredibly proud of our school community for coming together to raise money for such a meaningful cause. Every pound raised will help bring a little comfort, kindness and joy to patients during what can be an incredibly difficult time.

It was wonderful to see The Lewis Foundation visit school and hear about the difference these gift packs make to those receiving them. Knowing that our fundraising will help 119 more patients makes all of the hard work so worthwhile.

A huge well done and thank you to everyone who supported our fundraising - together, we really can make a difference!

NDAS Donations

We would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all our amazing parents and carers who have so generously donated items to support families in need at NDAS.

World Challenge Borneo Fundraising!

A huge thank you to Ben, Emily, Evie, Charlotte and Max for providing refreshments for our parents and carers, and a special thank you to all our parents and carers for your generous support. Our students raised an amazing £135 towards our World Challenge Borneo adventure.

As we reach the end of a successful first term, we are delighted to celebrate the achievements, successes and contributions of our students throughout Term 1.

We are incredibly proud of the dedication, resilience and enthusiasm shown by our students as they have settled into the new academic year. It has been wonderful to see so many of our young people embrace new opportunities, challenges and experiences, and we are pleased to share some of the highlights from this term. Each achievement reflects not only individual talent and commitment, but also the support of staff, families and the wider Academy community in helping our young people to thrive.

Guilsborough Academy Sixth Form are once again celebrating an excellent set of A Level and Level 3 BTEC results which have enabled our students to successfully progress onto a wide range of ambitious next steps. 

Simon Frazer, Principal stated “these results represent the success which comes from the determination of our amazing students and wonderful staff. Our students are rightly proud of their achievements, and we wish them well in their next steps; they have opened doors to adventures yet to be imagined. For the staff, the positive outcomes are a reflection of their dedication and hard work.” 

Bella Banks and Olivia Carter achieved A*A*A. Ben Hession and Harry Glissman-Hill with A*AA. Oliver Penberthy achieved AAA. We are also proud of those that made incredible progress from their GCSE results, including Erin Hall, Matilda Jones, Brooke Stephens, Matias Lopez-Biggin and Ayla Morritt. 

We are also proud to highlight specific subject success in History with 54% A*/A as well as 45% in Media and 38% in Sociology.  

An impressive 96% of students who applied to university have secured places at either their firm or insurance choice, with the overwhelming majority achieving their first-choice destination. 

Students have also successfully secured a range of prestigious degree apprenticeships, including opportunities in Primary Education and Construction Management. Others have taken exciting steps towards their future careers by securing employment or planning enriching gap years, using the time to travel and gain valuable experience in fields such as medicine before progressing to university next year. 

These outcomes reflect the ambition, resilience and dedication of this year's cohort as they move on to the next stage of their academic and professional journeys. 

This year’s selected recipient of a scholarship fund to support book purchases at university, Isobel Moore, achieved AAB and is progressing to study Psychology at Sheffield University. 

We are delighted by the incredible interest in our Open Evening. All presentation tickets have now sold out.

However, families are still very welcome to attend between 5:00pm and 8:00pm to tour the school, explore our facilities, and meet our wonderful students and staff.

This is a fantastic opportunity to experience the friendly, family atmosphere that makes Guilsborough Academy such a special place to learn and grow.
