🌍 Eco News at Our School
This week, the Eco Committee has been busy delivering assemblies on World Water Week, the Big School Clean, the results of the Big Plastic Count, and exciting wildlife news. More details can be found on the following slides.
Our Eco Club students have also been getting their hands dirty, planting seeds to grow in the allotment and around the school grounds. They’ve been enjoying spotting the newts returning to the pond to breed—a sign that our school habitats are thriving!
We are incredibly proud of all students who support our Eco work. A special congratulations goes to Isabelle Collier, who received the Environmental Action Award at the West Northamptonshire Youth Awards for her continued contribution to environmental initiatives both in school and the wider community.
This year, World Water Day 2026 highlighted the theme “Water and Gender”, reminding us of the global importance of accessible and equitable water. Thank you also to everyone who participated in the Big Plastic Count—your efforts help us make a real difference.
Let’s keep up the great work and continue making our school greener and more sustainable! 🌱
