Just some key points as a reminder:
- Students will arrive either by bus or parent transport by 8.35am on both mornings.
- Students living in areas where there are multiple bus stops can board any of these on both days. Bus drivers are aware that this is transition day. Students out of catchment area will need to pay for the bus.
- For these two days, students do not need bus passes – information regarding which bus service to use from September will be sent to parents by the Local Authority nearer to the time.
- Those students arriving by bus will be shown to the main hall by members of staff where they will gather before heading to their new tutor groups.
- Lunch will be provided for students on both days. We run a cashless catering system so if snacks are required, these should be brought in. It will be your child’s responsibility to check what foods they are able to eat (allergies etc) but catering staff will be on hand to advise if any students need further details, the food will be labelled as well.
- Students to bring in a pen or pencil.
- Students to bring water in a reusable container so that they can refill through the day if needed.
- We encourage students to bring in a book if they wish, as all tutor groups will be accessing the Learning Resource Centre on either day, they will have the opportunity to spend some time reading, as well as familiarising with the resources available with Mr Medhurst, our LRC Manager.
- Students to wear their current school uniform (or comfortable clothing if they do not wear school uniform at present), and trainers as they may be doing some form of physical activity over the 2 days.
- Students will be guided to the buses at the end of the school day or can be picked up by parents at 3.15pm from student reception.
Please email me or Mrs George on the email addresses below if you have any further questions.

We have been advised to remind all parents about the important changes introduced this year regarding the travel assistance application process from September 2026.
West Northamptonshire Council will no longer automatically issue travel passes to new pupils attending their nearest or geographically associated schools. Instead, all parents and carers must submit an application for travel assistance, so that eligibility can be considered.
Applications can be made directly by parents or carers via the West Northamptonshire Council website (https://www.westnorthants.gov.uk/school-travel-assistance)
